My Trip to Kings Creek Falls!

On our way to LASSEN NATIONAL PARK, we made a quick pit stop at Indian falls (check out my blog post here). WE SPENT ABOUT 30 MINUTES EXPLORING THE AREA AND LETTING THE DOGS RUN AROUND, then we were back en route to see more waterfalls!

The beginning of the hike was like a forest paradise. Filled with beautiful redwoods and pine trees (don’t quote me on that):

There were also a few really pretty views of the mountain ranges:

and now for the waterfall!

There’s two lookout spots that have great picture perfect views. The first, is located on a ramp that is very safe and secure. Here’s the view from the safe spot:

The second viewpoint is only accessible by climbing down the side of the mountain. It’s sketchy and a lot of people opt out because the chances of slipping are pretttyyyyy high. so naturally, i decided to climb down to get a better view of the waterfall. so here it is, in all it’s glory:

after we left kinGs creek falls, my thought was “okay cool got to see a badass waterfall, time to go.” but noooo there’s a second, even better waterfall on the way back!!!! This was such an awesome surprise. the reason why we didn’t see it on the way there was because there was a “one way only” sign, which directed people hiking-in on a different route.

You’ll end up walking along the waterfall via these really cool stairs. i definitely got a good workout in:

..and then before you know it, you’re heading out and on to explore more spots within Lassen.

enjoy!
