Indian Falls

This is the first waterfall hike i am posting about (Yay!), and i’m glad it’s a humble yet beautiful waterfall like Indian falls. this hike is short and lightly trafficked, with a lot of hidden beauty! this waterfall is also called koyam bukum sewinom bo, which was named by the maidu indians. There’s a few signs onsite that describe the significance behind it.

My Trip!

I found this hidden gem on the way to Lassen National Park (trip details coming soon!). we spent about 30 minutes exploring the area and letting the dogs run around:

There were really pretty rock formations and carved out areas, with one hidden cave that you can only get to if you go swimming!

There was also a mini waterfall to the left of the main waterfall. This would have been a perfect spot to float in the water with a floatie, because the water wasn’t STAGNATE:

There was also a swimming area and a little beach area to the right of the waterfall but it didn’t look that clean - i dont recommend swimming in this spot. Just stay dry and look at the views:

And finalllyyyyy..the waterfall! these photos don’t do the waterfall justice, it looks way bigger in person:

if you’re brave, you can swim out to the falls and get some cool photos, but we were lassen bound, so maybe next time!

Overall, this mellow spot was pretty epic for a brief ADVENTURE, check it out if you’re in the area! There’s plenty of parking and it’s a short/flat hike.

if you go swimming, let me know how it is!!!!

Enjoy!
